We celebrate Easter and the resurrection of Jesus. Together, we will proclaim that love can conquer all through inspiring music, scripture, and an Easter meditation. God continues to surprise us, changing and shaping us so that our lives are overflowing with hope and love.
This week we will hear the familiar story of when Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem with a humble parade. This was in stark contrast to a different parade happening, one of military might and prestige. This is just the beginning of a week marked by the highest highs and the lowest of lows.
It is one thing to be tolerated or endured, and quite another to be valued and welcomed. Often, peaceful co-existence seems to be good enough for us. And yet, the gospel paints a different picture where all people belong at the table.
As we continue to challenge ourselves to consider different views and perspectives as they relate to disability, this week we’ll look at the cultural barriers that block disabled people from accessing community.
The number one aspect of a child's life that indicates whether they will stay connected to their faith after graduating high school is if they were included in worship alongside their families. We begin our Lenten worship series by examining how we view disability. Do we pity those who are disabled? Do we see disability only as loss and misfortune? Can we see disability as a beautiful part of God’s creation?

God made each of us in God’s image. Still, each of us are vastly different from each other. This teaches us that God values diversity and differences, and that they are sacred!
How can a loving God allow such hardship and pain to happen in the world? This is a powerful question that we cannot ignore as people of faith. Even when we’re not facing severe suffering, we often have questions about God’s intentions and plans for us and our lives.
