Beyond Tolerance

It is one thing to be tolerated or endured, and quite another to be valued and welcomed. Often, peaceful co-existence seems to be good enough for us. And yet, the gospel paints a different picture where all people belong at the table. This week we continue our worship series on encountering God in disability by hearing the story of the great feast. When the first invited guests turn down the invitation, the social outcasts are included. Still, there is room for more. How can we make space for others to feel like they belong? Like they are wanted and valued and appreciated, just as they are?
