We explore the meaning of baptism and why it is so foundational to our faith and read the story of Jesus being baptized and named by God as beloved. Together as a faith community, we will also share in the remembrance of baptism. We have our new baptismal bowl, hand blown glass by a local artist. All who wish to do so will be invited to come forward for a blessing from the new baptismal bowl. I hope to see you in church, online or in person!

This week, we will not only participate in Holy Communion together, but explore the meaning and theology behind this long-held tradition of ours. What happens during communion?

Love Keeps Going

We will anticipate Pride Month as we celebrate the changes made at General Conference to live into a more inclusive way of being United Methodist. We’ll hear the familiar words from 1 Corinthians, “love is patient, love is kind.”

Beyond Words

This week we will mark Pentecost Sunday by hearing again this miraculous and strange story of how people were able to hear and speak in different languages, each understanding one another.

This week is a family interactive service. There is a drama, great music by all ages, active prayers, and a short message.

All Things New

We are grateful to experience the musical talents of several church members. Our theme for this special music Sunday is New Beginnings—celebrating the wonder of spring and the freshness in God’s creation.

Last week in worship we focused on the phrase “good soil” from one of Jesus’ parables. This week we look again at the same parable, focusing now on the sower.

Good Soil

This week in our interactive family worship, we’ll hear the story of the seeds scattered all around. Some fell on rocks, some in weeds, some on good soil.

So Small a Thing as That

“All creation is the Lord’s, and we are responsible for the ways in which we use and abuse it.” That is the United Methodist Church’s official position on the natural world, and this Sunday, we will celebrate those natural wonders in song and prayer as we observe Earth Day.

We welcome guest preacher, Rev. Dr. Joretta Marshall and hear the story commonly referred to as “Doubting Thomas.”
