Women Who Saved Moses: Miriam

Series: The Women Who Saved Moses

February 16, 2025 | Rev. Brooke Heerwald Steiner

Miriam as a young girl pays attention to her infant brother, and her keen sense of waiting and watching allows her to take courageous and life-saving steps. As an adult, she is a prophet and leader of women as she guides the Israelites out of Egypt alongside her brothers, tambourine in hand. We will hear her story together and reflect on how she mirrored God’s intention for liberation and freedom to her people. Her actions of watching, observing, and celebrating seem ordinary but lead to greater things.

Series Information

The brave ones are not always the names remembered or written down. Nevertheless, they make a big impact. Five different women took risks throughout his life to save him. Had it not been for them, Moses may never have been the remarkable leader that we are familiar with today. We will dive deep into the lives of these five women and discover their stories of courage and compassion.
