We welcome our District Superintendent, Rev. Cynthia Williams, to worship. Rev. Williams will be preaching on the story of Jesus healing a woman on the sabbath.

Come join us for a meaningful service as we talk about the ways imperfection makes this world beautiful. We’ll sing songs with actions, hear our middle school instrument ensemble, read the story of Jonah, and participate in communion together.

“Hair” is a musical that tells the story of a group of young hippies in the 1960s who are trying to navigate their way through a rapidly changing world. When it first debuted, “Hair” was clearly intended to challenge the sensitivities of the time. Beneath the questions and the protests, there is a message of hope.

This week's scripture takes a good look at Peter. He is flawed in so many ways, and yet is faithful in so many ways. Jesus asks Peter the same question three times in a row—do you love me?

Throughout Lent, we examined different questions that arose in encounters with Jesus. This week and next, we'll examine two of the questions that Jesus himself asked after he was resurrected.

A perfect time to come together to celebrate that Jesus is alive! We'll sing hymns and hear the brass and organ play; children will get to decorate an Easter flower cross; we'll hear the timeless story of the empty tomb and Mary mistaking Jesus for the gardener.

Hosanna!

This week we celebrate Jesus' entry into Jerusalem with a traditional palm parade. All children are invited to gather in the lobby before worship to process into the sanctuary at the beginning of service.

This week's question comes from Ezekiel, and the response given is that God knows what's possible. Fast forward to the gospels, and we encounter Jesus, Mary, Martha grieving the dead body of Lazarus.

Have you ever been asked a question that got under your skin? Maybe it was passive-aggressive, maybe it was innocent but still hurtful, maybe it was ignorant. As we continue our exploration of seeking and asking questions, this week we’ll talk about if there are questions that are better left unasked.

Nicodemus comes to Jesus under the veil of night to ask him big faith questions. As a leader of Jewish law, Nicodemus holds beliefs that no longer align with the kingdom of God Jesus embodies. Jesus invites him to begin again, to learn a new way of knowing and living out his faith.
