Series: Diversity 2025
June 15, 2025 | Rev. Brooke Heerwald Steiner
We continue our focus on diversity this week as we hear the words of the Psalmist say, "I praise God, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made." This universal text is meant to focus on the specifics of one singular person, but also all of creation. God created each us differently, and each of us are beloved and wonderful. Diversity is baked into every action of God's. In our faith, we are most closely aligned with God when we can also celebrate and value the differences in each person and each part of creation. Join us this week as we remind ourselves that diversity is a gift from the divine and when we honor it, we honor God.
Series Information

This sermon series on diversity affirms God’s vision for a unified yet beautifully varied body of believers. Diversity is not just a social ideal but a reflection of God’s creative design. In recognition of June as Pride Month, we will also explore how the Church can be a place where all people—including those in the LGBTQ+ community—are seen, valued, and invited into Christ’s love. We will challenge ourselves to reflect God’s love, justice, and grace in a world that longs for healing and belonging.
