Series: Diversity 2025
June 08, 2025 | Rev. Brooke Heerwald Steiner
This week is Pentecost, the birthday of the church! It's a story of a group of very different people coming together to listen and share their stories. In worship, it's our last children's interactive service until the fall, so all ages will enjoy worshipping together. We'll hear the story of one church made up of many different parts, with each person sharing their gifts and abilities. Our faith community values diversity and all the parts that make each of us who we are. Join us this week as we remember the role diversity has played in the church since the very beginning and the role it continues to play today.
Series Information

This sermon series on diversity affirms God’s vision for a unified yet beautifully varied body of believers. Diversity is not just a social ideal but a reflection of God’s creative design. In recognition of June as Pride Month, we will also explore how the Church can be a place where all people—including those in the LGBTQ+ community—are seen, valued, and invited into Christ’s love. We will challenge ourselves to reflect God’s love, justice, and grace in a world that longs for healing and belonging.
