We hear about a book Pastor Brooke read over vacation, aimed at children but meaningful for all: The Eyes and the Impossible. It's the story of a free dog who is responsible for being "the eyes" of the park and relating whatever he sees to all the other animals. He struggles to figure out what to do with all he sees, but does so with bravery and empathy.

Youth Sunday

This Sunday is a worship service lead by EUMC Youth who just returned from an awesome time at Summerfest Youth camp at Gustavus Adolphus College. They share their camp experiences through songs, photos, scripture, and energy. Come hear all about what they experienced and learned!

We will welcome guest preacher Jean Carlos Diaz, newly named Local Licensed Pastor with the Minnesota Annual Conference. Jean Carlos is also, and primarily, the Director of Ministry for the Wesley Foundation at the University of Minnesota.

Broadway has always used music to tell stories—and so do we. As we selected songs for this All-Music Sunday, we realized the music was telling a story that felt very familiar: the story of EUMC. A story about Building Community, Serving Others, and Standing for Justice.

This service is filled with the music chosen and sung by our congregation. Over the past few weeks, members of our congregation shared their favorite hymns. Together, these selections tell the story of who we are as a faith community.

The Currency of the Kingdom

The currency of God’s kingdom is kindness, compassion, care, joy and humility. And while it can often seem like God’s kingdom is far off, it really is close at hand.
