The Burden and Beauty of Seeing

Series: August 3, 2024

Summary

We hear about a book Pastor Brooke read over vacation, aimed at children but meaningful for all: The Eyes and the Impossible. It's the story of a free dog who is responsible for being "the eyes" of the park and relating whatever he sees to all the other animals. He struggles to figure out what to do with all he sees, but does so with bravery and empathy. Pastor Brooke relates it to the the vision in Habakkuk. Each of us have the ability to see the world and witness to both the beauty and hardship. How do we respond with courage and compassion, even as it feels like the world is full of heartbreak and hardship? Stay tuned to hear more!
