Holy Ground: Voyageurs

Series: Holy Ground: Wisdom From the National Parks

September 29, 2024 | Rev. Brooke Heerwald Steiner

The only National Park in Minnesota, and you have to travel all the way up towards Canada to get there. The name comes from the history of traders who traveled the waters to transport beaver pelts back and forth. When Jesus calls his disciples as followers, he knows he cannot do the work alone. The same is true for us—we cannot do the work alone. Love, justice, compassion, service, peace—it takes all hands on deck. Join us in church as we challenge ourselves to be strong teammates for one another.

Series Information

Our national parks are jewels of natural beauty and unmatched diversity. They can also speak to our faith as we reflect on God’s creation and marvel with wonder and awe at God’s work. Each week, we’ll look at a different national park and explore the holiness and wisdom that it gives us. From Yellowstone to Voyageurs, each place will offer a glimmer into the goodness and glory of God’s world.
