Foundations of Our Faith- Church

Series: Foundations of Our Faith

June 16, 2024 | Rev. Brooke Heerwald Steiner

Why belong to a faith community? For thousands of years, people have gathered in formal settings and buildings and homes to worship their God and be in community with one another. This week in church we explore the importance of participating in “church” and what that means. Jesus talked about being the salt and light for the world. A difficult charge, and yet one that is best done together and not alone. Join us as we seek to share salt and light with our world.

Series Information

We hear the messages out there that we should attend church. Many of us have been baptized, either as children or adults. We take the bread and the juice during Holy Communion. We feel within us a calling towards a certain way of life. Why do these things matter? How does the Holy Spirit work through them? What is the purpose of the sacraments? During the month of June, we'll explore the foundations of our faith and how they continue to shape us and bless us.
