Epic Tales: Joseph and His Brothers

Series: Epic Tales

September 10, 2023 | Rev. Brooke Heerwald Steiner

Thanks to Andrew Lloyd Webber, many of us are familiar with the story of Joseph, his brothers, and his coat of many colors. In worship this week we look at the first part of this story where Joseph and his brothers grow in animosity and resentment with each other. What do we learn of God in a story where people make some pretty horrible and mean choices? In worship we’ll also bless the backpacks of our students and celebrate the kick-off of fall programming. There is a lot of activity happening at Excelsior UMC—I hope you find a good place to plug in.

Series Information

There are several classic tales of the faith taught in every Sunday school classroom around the world. We'll spend the month of September looking at four of these epic tales and how they can shape our faith, young and old.
