Everyone loves an underdog. Some of favorite movies feature sports underdogs winning the game when no one thought they could (see 1980 men’s USA hockey versus Russia in the Olympics). This week’s scripture is a famous underdog—David, who ends up defeating Goliath. We’ll dive into this story to see what it reveals to us about what God values and what gifts lie unexpectedly in others.
