Building a World

Series: Grace in Action

November 20, 2022 | Rev. Brooke Heerwald Steiner

The first words in the Bible are words of creating, building, and developing. God is present and active in making our world. At the end of that first chapter, we are reminded again that each of us are made in God's own image. We do on a smaller scale what God does—we can create, build, and develop too. What kind of community do we want to create together? When we ask for you to intentionally consider your financial contribution each year to this church, we hope you ask that question. There is a lot of pain and hurt in the world. We have the capability to respond with justice, compassion, and generosity. When we are all committed to creating, building, and developing a better community, God can look at us and say, "It is good. It is supremely good."
