Join others to reflect on the book “Holy Runaways: Rediscovering Faith After Being Burned by Religion” by Matthias Roberts. In the past decade, church attendance in the US has dropped dramatically. Those who have left often report the reason as hypocrisy within the church and resistance to change, or trauma they experienced in what was supposed to be a sacred space. In this book, the author and psychotherapist reaches out to others who want to understand a religion they’ve had to neglect and form a new faith that is healthier and safer.
