Who sinned"

Series: Seeking

March 19, 2023 | Rev. Brooke Heerwald Steiner

Have you ever been asked a question that got under your skin? Maybe it was passive-aggressive, maybe it was innocent but still hurtful, maybe it was ignorant. As we continue our exploration of seeking and asking questions, this week we’ll talk about if there are questions that are better left unasked. When Jesus and his disciples come across a man who was born blind, the exchange is cringeworthy. How can we make sure we ask questions that help expand our understanding of God and others? Join us as we strive to ask better questions that are kind and helpful.

Series Information

Throughout the gospels, Jesus encounters people who are seeking. They are seeking a new beginning, a different life, a deeper faith. The exchange between them is one of questions and exploration. We are also seeking many things. Lent offers us a season to engage in this spiritual practice of seeking and asking questions. Each week, we will seek good questions rather than easy answers. Our faith will be shaped by our growth, curiosity, and wonder.
