Understanding God's Will

Series: Why? Asking God the Hard Questions

January 28, 2024 | Rev. Brooke Heerwald Steiner

How can a loving God allow such hardship and pain to happen in the world? This is a powerful question that we cannot ignore as people of faith. Even when we’re not facing severe suffering, we often have questions about God’s intentions and plans for us and our lives. We will hear pieces of two of Paul’s letters to see how he encouraged those communities of faith to engage with God’s will and grow in their understanding. We will also look at the work of Leslie Weatherhead, a British pastor who served during WWII and had to answer these questions for his suffering and wondering congregation.
