Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount makes a transition this week, as he speaks about our relationships with others. Having spent a good deal talking about the best ways for the disciples to practice their faith, Jesus now tells them not to judge others. “First take the log out of your own eye, and then you’ll see clearly to take the splinter out of your brother’s or sister’s eye.” We live in a world that shouts its opinions and judgments constantly. Social media, radio, television, almost every conversation, is filled with judgment. What are we to do? Join us in worship as we tackle this together.
