Light Makers and Light Bearers

Series: It Takes a Village

May 11, 2025 | Rev. Brooke Heerwald Steiner

This week is a children's interactive worship service. We will hear the story of God speaking to the prophet Isaiah about God's vision for the world. It's a vision of justice and peace, hope and compassion. God says that the people are to be lights in a dark world. Together, we will talk about how we can shine light wherever we go. We will celebrate the children in our village who often shine the brightest and remind us of the power of each of us to bring more joy and love to this world. I hope to see you this Sunday!

Series Information

For four or five days, adults who were not his parents cared, protected, fed, nurtured and taught Jesus. This is the vision for all of our children and youth—a village that will support the development and growth of each of them. Too often, families feel isolated and on their own to figure out the challenges of raising children. We commit ourselves to being a village and caring for all of God's children.
