Can these bones live?

Series: Seeking

March 26, 2023 | Rev. Brooke Heerwald Steiner

This week's question comes from Ezekiel, and the response given is that God knows what's possible. Fast forward to the gospels, and we encounter Jesus, Mary, Martha grieving the dead body of Lazarus. As only a few sacred stories say, Jesus brings Lazarus back to life. Together we will explore how Jesus turns his grief into action. Where in our own lives can we help others roll away the stones and begin a new life? Join us in worship as we ponder these questions together.

Series Information

Throughout the gospels, Jesus encounters people who are seeking. They are seeking a new beginning, a different life, a deeper faith. The exchange between them is one of questions and exploration. We are also seeking many things. Lent offers us a season to engage in this spiritual practice of seeking and asking questions. Each week, we will seek good questions rather than easy answers. Our faith will be shaped by our growth, curiosity, and wonder.
