Bold Women: Miriam

Series: BOLD: 5 Female Leaders in the Old Testament

July 30, 2023 | Rev. Brooke Heerwald Steiner

Miriam is a bold woman in the Bible, starting from when she was young and continuing through her adulthood. Early on, she keeps an eye on her baby brother and saves his life, her quick wit making a way for her mother to raise him. She later leads the Hebrew women in singing and dancing across the Red Sea. Miriam and her brother Aaron speak out against Moses, demonstrating for us that diverse voices and opinions are important in leadership. Join us in worship this week as we hear her story again, and immerse ourselves in the boldness that Miriam demonstrates for us.
