Bold Women: Esther

Bold Women in the Old Testament. Of course, we’ll be starting with one of my all time favorite Bible characters: Esther. I’ve always had a heart for Esther—for the pageantry of this book, the drama that unfolds, the poetic lines and social commentary it offers us all at the same time. Esther is someone with limited power—to speak to the king posts a great risk to her life. But the risk of not speaking is even greater—many lives are at stake. Come join us in worship as we celebrate her boldness and challenge ourselves to live into that as well.
