Becoming the Story

The stories we tell and gravitate towards don’t just describe who we are—they shape who we become. Stories influence what we notice, what we value, and what we choose to do next. In Acts 2, the stories of Jesus were fresh in the minds of his early followers. These stories weren't just ideas in their heads. The stories had the power to change and guide their daily actions. Those stories turned them toward one another and community in the early days of the church. Because of that, the church thrived and so did every person in their community. This Sunday we will wonder together, what stories are shaping who we are? How do the stories we tell about Jesus move us towards action and community?
