Youth Grades 6-12
Join Us! We care deeply about creating an environment where our middle and high school students can grow and practice their faith in relevant ways, develop and strengthen relationships with peers and adults, and always have a sense of belonging an welcome.
Wednesday Night Youth Group
Youth in grades 6th-12th gather the first three Wednesdays each month from 6-8pm for dinner, to check-in and pursue good together. Friends are always welcome! Activities have included:
- Learning about church history and traditions
- Practicing Faith practices, such as prayer and Bible study
- Volunteering at Simpson Housing Services in Minneapolis, Many Hands Many Meals, and other service events
- Bonfires and games
- Attending Summer Festival Camp at Gustavus Adolphus College in July

Confirmation Program
Youth in grades 7-12 are invited to join this one year program. Confirmation meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday from 6-8pm. Pastor Brooke is the lead teacher. Much of confirmation looks similar to youth group, with dinner, check-ins, and games. We also dive deeper into what it means to be a follower of Jesus and what a commitment to the church looks like if they decide to become full members of the church. The program includes:
- Learning how to read the Bible and about the Wesleyan Quadrilateral
- Lessons about the history of United Methodism
- Serving the church and serving the community in a variety of ways
- 1-on-1 sessions with a trusted mentor in the church
- Field trips to learn about different faith traditions (i.e. Jewish synagogue, Buddhist temple, Catholic mass)
- An Arts & Faith project presented at end of program year
