How the Word Is Passed: A Reckoning with the History of Slavery Across America
In this book, author Clint Smith visits eight historic sites, finding that many of these sites present the past honestly, while others gloss over how slavery was central to shaping of each site and our country’s collective history and memory.
Books are available for sale at church beginning January 15, Martin Luther King Jr. Sunday.
Discussion groups will begin the week of February 5, and be held once a week for 4 weeks. A sign-up sheet is at church or use this link to sign up online for a group.
