Series: We Are One

EUMC lifts up storytelling and how stories have the power to bring us closer together. Too often in our culture, stories are told in a narrow and targeted way to create an intended outcome rather than through broader viewpoints that benefit all. Elizabeth Lesser wrote a book called Cassandra Speaks: When Women Are The Storytellers, The Human Story Changes. She asks the question, "What if men and women had told our origin tales and hero myths - our guiding stories about love, power, war, and the values we live by?" Join me as I build on our series and explore, "We Are One: In Her Presence" where I will be sharing old stories in a new way by bringing forth the female narrative and perspective. Through this insight, I believe there is room for deeper understanding and connection between all genders and God.

Series Information
On August 9th we will launch our lay preaching series, We Are One, exploring the ways God calls us together as one body in Christ. Throughout the series, we'll hear from members of our own congregation as Larry Farmer, Jacob Schillander, and Sarah Heyd share messages of faith, unity, and hope. We hope you'll join us as we listen to the voices and stories of our own church family.
