Series: The "C" in Christian: Communion, Christmas, Creation
July 19, 2026 | Rev. Terry Benedett-Farmer
The "C" in Christian continues this Sunday with "Christmas"! What's it all about this Christmas we celebrate every December 25th? We hear the birth stories as told by Matthew and Luke (nope, Mark and John do not have them). In Matthew an angel speaks to Joseph not once but four times and a star led Wise Men to Bethlehem. In Luke, the angel Gabriel appears to Zachariah while serving in the temple, announcing to this old man that his old wife would be having a son and name him John. Then God sent the angel Gabriel to Mary to tell her that she would become pregnant when the Holy Spirit would come upon her and give birth to a son and call him Jesus. This baby caused an interruption in so many lives. What is it all about? Come and find out while we celebrate Christmas in July!
