Series: The Stories That Shape Us

This week is a meaningful and exciting one for me, as I return from my renewal leave. I'm incredibly grateful to hear about all the wonderful ministry you've been up to and am looking forward to catching up with all of you! For our fall kickoff, we will begin a new worship series about the stories that shape us. This week we'll hear the familiar words from Psalm 46: "be still and know that I am God." This is an invitation for all of us to slow down, look around, and pay attention to what is happening in and around us. My hope is that this Sunday will give us space to become more attentive—to one another, to our own stories, to the stories of our neighbors and world, and to the quiet ways God continues to speak and move among us.

Our September worship series explores how the stories we notice, share, and live shape our faith and our community. As we begin the fall season and welcome our pastor back from sabbatical, we’ll reflect on where we’ve seen God at work and how our own stories connect to something bigger. What are the stories God is stirring within us? What stories do we need to hear? Together, we’ll discover that we are all part of God's ongoing story of love and life.
