Office Administrator (Part-time) Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented friendly Office Administrator to join our team 20 hours/week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily office operations, ensuring efficient workflow, and providing administrative support to staff and volunteers. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in office management software, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
General Administration
- Act as receptionist for the church during office hours Monday thru Thursday, 9am-1pm. Provide a hospitable presence to visitors and members.
- Provide the pastor with administrative assistance. Maintain operational documents and information (e.g., the Lay Leadership List, the worship service leader grid, and brochures).
- Receive communications (phone, email, snail mail), evaluate information then take appropriate action and interpret/disseminate to others (i.e. prayer requests can affect membership information, service leader changes, information affecting financials, calendar/newsletter changes, etc.).
- Attend bi-weekly staff meetings.
- Oversee membership database and train other staff in its use. Produce queries and reports for staff or committees (Church Directory, Attendance Rosters, specific groups for mailing labels, etc.). Manage yearly inactive Member process.
- Complete yearly reporting for the Minnesota Annual Conference.
- Provide support for other church staff and committees as agreed to and prioritized by the Lead Pastor.
- Supervise custodian position.
- Create and maintain documentation for all office duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned by or approved by the Lead Pastor.
