Have you ever heard the phrase, Life your best life now? Or YOLO—you only live once? It’s not uncommon to hear inspirational messages encouraging us to take advantage of every moment, accomplishing and experiencing as much as we can in our life. But what about realizing our limits? Doing things for the sake of doing them, not because they are on a list but because they nourish us in some way. Jesus didn’t heal every person he could. He did one thing at a time. He left people to go pray in the woods. This week in worship we’ll pay attention to his practices and how we might stop rushing to accomplish things on our bucket list and instead realize that no life is ever finished.
Series Information
God works through small, seemingly insignificant moments as well. As we seek to be Easter people, let us remember the stories in our Bible where God took ordinary people, ordinary objects, ordinary places and used them in great big ways to flood the world with love and joy: tiny mustard seeds, two fish, five rocks. Join us as we explore how these small things made a big difference.
