Holy Water: How We Relate to Creation is How We Relate to the Creator

Series: Experiencing the Holy: Celebration & Responsibility for God’s Creation

August 21, 2022 | Rev. Brooke Heerwald Steiner

Before I even got to work today, I had twenty reminders of the importance of water in my daily life. From brushing my teeth and washing my face, to the mist of rain on my car, to the sight of the ducks swimming on Lake Minnewashta as I drove my kids to camp, water surrounds me every minute. And yet, at best I take it for granted and at worse I neglect to think about how it's polluted or used. Holy Wisdom speaks in scripture about how all of creation is made with Wisdom's presence. Do we treat water as holy? What does the way we use or abuse water say about our relationship with God? Join the conversation.

Series Information

Join us for 4 weeks in worship as we connect more deeply with creation and claim God’s call on us to be caretakers of the earth. For many of us, God is never more present or real than when we can experience God out in nature. Together, we will be sharing our love of nature along with urgent needs of environmental justice.
